Speakeasy Tel Aviv Community
A premier platform connecting English-speaking audiences with some of Israel’s most compelling voices. We create intimate, thought-provoking conversations that address today’s most pressing and at times controversial topics. Since May 2024 we have hosted an exceptional lineup of speakers, including former ambassadors, Knesset members, award-winning investigative journalists, authors, and public intellectuals who explore contemporary Israel’s defining challenges, diplomatic strategies, societal divides, and cultural transformations. Conversations are moderated by Calev Ben-Dor, editor of BICOM’s Fathom journal, an experienced political analyst across Israel’s foreign policy, domestic policy and education sectors. Each event includes a wine reception, the main conversation and an extended Q&A, with proceeds benefiting the speaker’s chosen charity. Speakeasy is a not for profit enterprise, run by volunteers, supported by the Am Yisrael Foundation and hosted by Nefesh B’Nefesh in Tel Aviv
